Nguyen Wahed is pleased to present Field, a solo exhibition of new work by Leander Herzog, following his debut at Art Basel in Basel earlier this year.
Field is a continuous generative field of grass, computed in real time, never repeating a single frame. The work runs on its own: blades growing, shifting, and rendering without pause or loop. It responds to touch, click, and pointer, and to presence folding it into the collective image. The viewer enters the work on multiple registers, their gestures and movements absorbed into the field as they happen. What appears as nature is entirely code. Each blade is planted once as data, then recalculated frame by frame, with detail and density shifting depending on proximity.
